In business for almost a quarter century, Sonny’s Italian Deli focuses on two things. Delicious food and an accommodating staff.
Mike and his daughter Lisa have done their best to run an operation where the food stands out and each customer leaves satisfied and happy. They’ve done such a good job at Sonny’s that Guy Fieri mentioned their famous “Junkyard” hoagie on Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate.” This hearty sandwich has just about everything on it, but the kitchen sink. Dietz & Watson turkey breast, gourmet prosciutto, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, imported sharp provolone cheese, fresh spinach and garlic spread, all finished off with oil, vinegar and oregano help make this bold sandwich a true natural wonder. The South Philly Abruzzi rolls he uses gives an added layer of flavor and crunch, helping this hoagie to become award-winning.
Sonny’s is a “Real Philly Deli” because they feature premium meats and artisan cheeses from Philadelphia’s own Dietz & Watson. When you come into Sonny’s you will be welcomed with friendly faces and a “never say no” policy. That means that whatever sandwich you want, they will be happy to make it, no matter how specific or crazy it might seem! So walk into Sonny’s Italian Deli and you’ll be sure to find (or create) something you’re bound to love!
